X213 Length on the Road?

According to the specs, the X213 is 24' but it doesn't give both a set-up, with the back bed slide out and a road length so I'm not sure what the 24' represents. I really like this floor plan. I've come to do my research.

Thank you. Then, it would really be a nice size trailer with the slide out the back.

This says 24' for the X213 floorplan and specs... We almost got one of these in the 2010 year. Was going to be the perfect trailer for the two of us. They were having issues then with the rear slide being so large it would get water leak real easy and also the rear slide would get out of level real easy and do damage to the inside seat cushions when being put back in. I think all of those problems was fixed in the 2009 model. We was going to pull this trailer with our F150 truck.

Other folks said you could sleep in the bed real easy left inside like when you pulled off the road at a rest area etc.

I even had plans drawn up to convert the Bunk Bed room into a office/computer/radio ops area complete with desk and hutch

This is from a Trailer Life mag report on F150 towing the X213

Roy: Yes, we do have some concerns about the slide. We had a pop-up, one of the heavier ones and sliding in the beds on that, especially the king size one, caused issues similar to what you describe. We were looking at the Shamrock which is similar but I see that they have discontinued the floor plan with slide-out bed. We have owned both Jayco and Forest River products and some others. We are doing a lot of research for this, #9, over our 30 years of RVing. Thanks!

I wouldn't have bought a X213 if I found a hint of problems w/ the slide mechanism nowadays. I even went so far as to call 2 Jayco service shops around me to see if any of them are coming back. Both said no. At my selling dealer I spoke w/ the service manager and he told me he has a lot of faith in Jayco's design of the X213 rear slide, and aside from the weak motor issue from years past hasn't had one come back to the shop.

My 2012 x213 was 24' hitch to bumper with the slide in. With the slide out it was 28'. I know for sure because I measured it myself once last September. We loved our x213 and would still have it, if a tree wouldn't have fallen on it. My only gripe would have been the size of the fresh water tank, but it's larger now in the 2014 model. I adjusted the slide once myself but other than that, we never had a issue with it. I wanted to replace our 2012 with a 2014 when they totaled it, but the wife wanted something with a walk around bed.

Glad to hear that people are happy with the X213. We just purchased a 2014 model and can't wait for the snow to melt so we can pick it up and enjoy it!

We have a 2011 X213 and have had no trouble with the slide. We love our X213 also.
