X213 owners - ball and frame size

Do any X213 owners know the ball size needed and frame size (height of frame at the tongue) off the top of their head?

The one I'm buying is a 2015 in case prior model years are different. I'd expect the 2014 would be the same but not sure about earlier as I think they used a different frame so possibly could be different.

Got a hold of Jayco and the coupler size on mine is 2-5/16" and the coupler manufacturer is Bal.

I was getting this info to know which size Andersen hitch to order and to ensure it wasn't an Atwood 88xxx series which won't work with the Andersen. I didn't end up getting the frame size as it seems Andersen has now moved to a configurable bracket.

And now my dealer service centre left me a message saying it's a 2" ball!

Can anyone confirm? I need to get my hitch today.

I do not have a X213, but I would be confident that it is a 2 5/16 ball. Usually only 2" balls are used for PUs and smaller. Also not the 2 5/16" ball has a larger shank size, I believe it is a 1" shank.

my X17 had a 2 inch ball but the X23F we have now has a 2 5/16 ball. I would bring both, you cant get a 2 inch ball with a 1 inch shank and the dealer can easily switch them for you.

I don't believe I can do that with the Andersen hitch. You need to know which one, I don't think it can be swapped out. I'll call them to verify.

So swapping is possible but it involved flipping something over and banging something out...wasn't sure if it involved special tools or if a specific Andersen ball was required to do the swap. I need to call back this afternoon when I have more time to get explicit directions. But I'm not sure it's something I'd want an unfamiliar dealer taking care of.

Finally got a chance to look at my 2015 X213. The ball is actually buried under my Hensley Hitch, but there is a big "2 5/16" stamped on the top of the coupler. From the ground to the bottom edge of the coupler measures 17.5" on mine. But that is approx. because I'm parked on grass that may be a little uneven.

This is super helpful John. I have no idea what trailer the service guy walked out to get that it was a 2" ball, or he didn't walk out to one and just said he did. He said initially he thought I said 231 not 213 so told me it was 2-5/16. Then he looked up what I bought and went out to it and called me back with 2". I told him that Jayco asked my serial # and looked up the specific info for my trailer and had told me it was 2-5/16" and he didn't have a response to that.

Your additional measurement is good too as it can help me ensure that the 4" drop is the hitch we need.

I know I am a bit late to the punch here but I tow a 2012 X213 and I use a 2 and 5/16th ball on my hitch. Cheers

Did you ever figure out the height of the frame Where the brackets attach? Andersen just asked me this also. Looks like I can use the 4" drop what was the model# that you got? Thanks!

Andersen told me they just have one bracket now that is adjustable for different sized frames. So that's what we have and it works.

For the drop, we bought the 4".

No idea. I re-read the emails from the place we bought it and he just said "the 2-5/16 ball with 4" drop" was the one we had in stock. Anything else he had to order in. His stock one was what we needed though.

If they have the model number on the hitch anywhere, I can look to verify. But it probably won't be soon enough for you as I am not likely to go until we pick it up from storage on May 16.

1. Frame size where the brackets for the WDH go?
2. Height of frame at the tongue/ball when level?
