X213 slide sagging

Our 2012 X213 read slide has sagged slightly.
Anyone know how to adjust the slide?

Is it all the way out? When you slide it out, the end should tip up when it is fully up. If you are dry camping, you may need to leave it plugged in the TV while it is running or plugged in if you have electrical. Worst case scenario, you can use the manual crank to make sure it is all the way out.

Mine is doing same thing. I tried adjusting it, and seemed to make no difference at all so I dont think I did it right.

If you lift up the cloth flap covering the end of the bed when the slide is extended and look at the end of the slide rails you should be able to tell if the slide is fully extended. The wheels inside the rails should be right up to the end of the rails. We started having the same droop after two seasons of use with our 2010 213. Jayco replaced the slide motor and upgraded the fuse circuit and we have had no problems since. BCx213 is right as well, if your battery is weak it will not be able to power the slide through the final few inches of extension that lifts the slide into a level position.

Definitely all the way out. The wheels are all the way to the end of the rails. Same with battery or shore power.
There has to be a way to do some adjustment

I dropped my rig at the dealer today for this same reason, for the second time. I'm printing this and dropping it by tomorrow.

Follow up. Apparently the slider issue was a weak battery. We shall see as we begin our long journey currently underway. Dealer was helpful with other issues as well. Have a terrific Independence Day weekend everyone.

They said it was the battery and it was within limits. Just returned from a two week trip with seven stops. No issues so far.

My clutch brake seems to be engaging right before the last couple inches where the bed starts to raise up. This is while on shore power in my driveway so any of you that say you "tried to adjust it", what are you actually doing?

I should add, if I lift the bed flap up to expose the motor and push in and out on the button, I can see the entire motor assembly shift up and down like its not mounted solid enough. All the bolts seem nice and tight however.

Can anyone else check this and let me know if your motor moves at all?

I had the same issue with ours. Had to have my wife push the slide out button, while I stood by the bed, and pulled up on the bed, when the clutch started "clicking". Made the bed level. took it to the dealer, and they replaced the motor.

Also, to answer your question, NO, my new motor does not move when pushed on. Don't know if the old one did or not, didn't check. I had an idea it was bad from other information I found.

Good luck and hope you get this issue fixed so you can enjoy your X213.

X213 slide out

Hi all,
New to this Jayco forum. Bought a new 2017 X213 last week. I hope all works ok. Will keep a close eye on the slide and motor.
Our first RV was a pop-up from Forest River. Enjoyed it but I like the hard shell bedroom slide from Jayco.
Will do our first trip to NC to see the Solar Eclipse.

Piling on with some interesting but not necessarily useful information. My X213 slideout wouldn't click when fully extended and would extend more slowly than when we first got it. Turns out one of the battery cables had come off the battery (we had only used the bed with shore power up until that point). After attaching the cable back on the battery, the bed slides out much faster and clicks normally again.

Now I have no idea why shore power alone is not as good as shore+battery but the point of this post is your battery has an impact on your slideout, even when you are hooked up to shore power.

FYI

Hello X 213 owners,
got a new x213 from the dealer. Keeps blowing 30 A fuses on the battery box when sliding the bedroom out. Has anybody happened that before. Dealer suggest to hook up 30 A power first but how you do that when dry camping ? Generator ? Or hand cranking ?

Yes, generator if your battery is not in top shape and fully charged. If it is and you have no generator, just be sure to make sure everything is "OFF" before trying to open it.

This means, water heater, water pump, any lights, etc...

I have blown my fuse once when my wife turned on the water heater and pump and a few lights and then tried opening the slide.

When dry camping, I leave our TT plugged into my truck while operating the power jack and bed slide to avoid draining the battery on the TT. Worse case scenario, I will use my 3100 watt inverter Champion generator.
