12hfd Hardside

Want to lower my 12hfd hardside. Flip axel? smaller tires? How?

Why do you want to lower it. I am also a 12HFD owner and like the added height.

too high to get motorcycles up. and sometimes the hit bottom. I just need it lowered.

Sorry but I don't. The ramps are too steep for my motorcycles! 67 yrs old and it hard to get them over the hump with 500lb bikes. Have you tried it yet? So how much weight have you put on yours. I pack mine with almost 1100lbs. You? So do you have any suggestions on how to lower the trailer???

Is the axle currently mounted above or below the springs? If it’s below, then you can flip the axle pretty easily. Otherwise you might have the opportunity to raise the spring shackles to a higher hole in the mounting plates.

I had a 2014 Forest River pop up that I lowered so that it rode closer to level behind my lowered Volvo V70. I simply drilled new 3/4” holes in the spring mount plates and raised the shackles up to lose 2” in ride height.
