2 drain valves under fresh tank

Good morning y'all. Haven't had a chance to fill our fresh tank yet. I can see the white plastic drain valve mounted to a bracket under the trailer, but there's also a pex tube hanging down from the center of the belly near the spare tire with a chrome valve on the end of it. Is this the fresh water overflow? If it is, I assume the valve can be closed to prevent the siphoning while driving I've read about. The low point drains are near the basement storage.

Thanks

Most RVs have low point drains for hot and cold. They may also have a valve and drain hose for the fresh water tank. They should also have an over flow hose for the fresh water tank. Some have installed valves in this hose to prevent the fresh water tank from losing water while traveling.

Overflow tubes are usually flexible braided type hoses. And I don't think the factory is putting shutoffs on them, anyway. Do you have a residential style refrigerator? Is that Pex tube directly under your fridge?

Chrome valve sounds like the ice-maker line drain.

We have a residential fridge in the slide out. I'll have to take a look when we're at the trailer to see where the tube is compared to the fridge.

This may be a bit of a stretch, but if you have the optional water purification system, it may be a drain for that.....maybe??

We don't have a 5er, so I think the next time out camping, I'm gonna ask some Jayco 5th wheel owners, if they'd mind if I crawled around under their rig for awhile. Do ya think they'd mind much??? LOL.
