2008 29bhs tv/radio/dvd ?

just bought a 08 29bhs, the tv and stereo reciever is missing, all the wires are there. Just wondering what is supposed to be there or what a good alternative is. Thought about just buying an automotive aftermarket stereo for radio and addin a dvd/tv at a later date. are the speakers good for 12v and 120v? would be nice to have something all in one if possible, so I can use the speakers for both. FYI it is a 5.1 system.

Mine came with an RCA DVD Home Theater. I replaced it with an RCA BluRay Theater system so the kids could watch BluRay's if it rained. It came with new speakers, but I didn't use them, I just used the ones installed in the TT and it works great. The only thing is, the one I purchased didn't have an FM tuner in it, so we don't have that. I just plug the iPad into the AUX in jack and use that. It does suck that this trailer did not come with a 12V radio.

Speakers have nothing to do with RV voltage it is the power output of the radio.. that part is plug and play so don't worry about it. A good automotive radio stuck in there will ALWAYS beat out an RV system

pretty much my thoughts, been replacing semi/ag equipment radios with ones from cdn tire instead of dealer ones, way cheaper and better!

The radio from Jayco did not run on 12V, so boon docking or stopping for lunch while traveling did not allow us to use a radio in the camper. That was what my 12V reference was. Not the fact that I used the camper speakers instead of the speakers that came with the BluRay system. The speakers from Jayco actually sound great.

To solve the 12V radio issue, I am installing a separate automotive tuner in the TT. I have to have my tunes....

Intersting, both of my JayFlight have had the Jensen Radio/CD/DVD system. It has been adequate, certainly not great, but it does run on 12V. In fact if I am plugged into 120V shore power the converter is making the required 12v for the Jensen.

Now the Television -- that is a 120v. We do not run the TV without shore or gernerator power to the TT.
