2012 X23B Under-sink leak

Our outing last week to Biloxi was great (although the rain chased us all the way from Houston). Saw the sights, ate some good seafood and left a few $$ in the local casinos.
Got cold (28F) one night and using the B'room about 0200 noticed it wouldn't flush. Says I, "GRRRRR, water lines froze!". Turns out the park shut off the water overnight, Iguess to keep us campers from dripping water all night.
But...............
Discovered a small puddle on the floor and traced it to the cold water under the sink. It looks like it's coming from the lower connection in the line that is intended to be replaced by the in-line filter (I don't have one). The upper fitting is dry and looks to be made up correctly. The lower one (see the poor pic) looks like it may be cross-threaded. It has a very slow leak that amounts to about 1/4 cup in 24 hours. Not much but can't have it.
There looks to me like there is too much thread showing in the connection and the male-female connectors don't look to be 100% in line with each other.
Tell me what you think.
My plan is to take it down this weekend and if the threads aren't boogered make it up straight. If the threads are ruined I'll turn to plan "B" (when I think of it).

I now know why many of you forego the under-sink filter. It's a PITA to get to.

I'd take it apart and try some teflon tape on the joint.

Yeah, that's my first plan. Thanks for the encouragement.
I'd take it in for warranty but at around 40 mi each way I could spend $100 to fix it and still come out ahead considering time and gas.
Hey, I might even come out of this a little smarter (lots of room there).

I too had this issue. My connectors were finger tight. I snugged them up and have been fine.

Hey Shins,
Thx for the input. Does (did) your lower connection have as much thread showing as mine, or was the fitting different and it's "apples & oranges"?
I thought about putting the wrench to it in the park but didn't want to make things worse (I saw the movie "Titanic" and didn't want to see the gush of water!).

Saturday is just around the corner and I'll report what I find.

Red, yes - plenty of threads showing. It was so loose that I could easily back it off and retighten it by hand. I finished it off with a plumbers wrench. My rig came with an in-line filter that was never installed. I'm wondering if it was supposed to be installed prior to PDI, but, it was an oversight. Sadly, I have had plenty of "oversight" issues since new. All but one I could handle by myself...

X2. I also agree better to fix these things yourself. With the price of fuel, dragging the trailer to the dealer then possibly have to leave it til they get to it and make two round trips would be expensive.

Just don't overtighten, that plastic nut can crack real easily.

So true. My father-in-law was a machinist all his life and didn't think it was tight until you had a 3' cheater and 200# pulling on it.
