377RLBH water pump not shutting off

Well it does, sometimes. I am not new to 12 volt pumps, so I know what to expect. It always sounds like there is air in the line and air does in fact come from the faucets. Pressure is lower than I would expect. It did this the first time we tried it a week after bringing it home in October. Normally we are hooked to a hose, but until our heated one comes in I have been disconnecting and keeping the hose in the garrage at night. The tank is full.

Right now it has been running for 10 minutes and water is hardly coming from facuets.

I'm looking for ideas or advice before I spend my Thanksgiving opening panels. The dealer is 5 hours away, so right now they are not really an option.

Thanks in advance.
Wade

I would start by checking the water line going to the pump make sure its tight and not sucking any air. Make sure the cup on the small filter is tight, and that the valve used for winterizing is fully closed.

Great ideas, valve is closed. Filter and air leaks are on the checklist.

I have been having some of the same issues that you describe. I am curious to hear what you find. My North Point is at its winter storage location so I have a little trouble getting to it to trouble-shoot, but that is on my list for spring time.

Check that the filter is clean (remove it and check) too and make sure the hoses aren't kinked anywhere.

Are you on shore power? Good battery voltage?

Yes to the shore power. Every thing else is good.

Can you fill up a bucket with water and pump from there with the winterizing hose? That would eliminate upstream issues.

The only other thing I can think of is there is another drain or faucet open like the low point drains or outside shower. Or the water pump is bad or the bypass valve is not adjusted correctly. Look up the model number of the pump for instructions and you might find a way to adjust the bypass pressure.

Good idea on the bucket, water is not running anywhere. I have the manual for it. I will give it a read.

I tightened every fitting again. This is definitely a warrantee thing. It draws from the jug perfectly when I had to winterize.

Plus the fitting that fills the water tank sprays like a geyser.

Sure sounds like one of the utility manifold valves is not in the right position and you are recirculating water back to the tank. Been there done that ....
