6v batteries different voltage when charging

Purchased two 6v batteries today. Checked them before hookup and exact same voltage. Hooked them up and for the first 2-3 hours they were the exact same voltage while charging. Then after 2-3 hours on charger one shows 6.76 and the other shows 6.70.

My question is, does that mean one battery is more charged and the other is catching up or are the batteries going to end up being uneven. They both have a sticker for 10/19 on them and are in series. If there is an issue I want to get it fixed asap.

Thanks!

I wouldn't be too concerned about .06 volts. No 2 batteries will be exactly identical even with sequential serial numbers.

Thanks for the response. I kicked off the concerted just for giggles. The batteries show identical voltage with a small amount of load on them, lights, etc. New to the whole 6v in a series thing. Got them in the hopes of longer life and more capacity.

I put in 4 6V in series/parallel and some solar charging panels. You will be happy with them. The additional amp hours you get is worth it. My biggest issue is just getting up on the roof to clean the panels

I'd love to have four! Two will have to do for now. Still thinking it will be a big improvement over the one from the dealer.
