921 bulb replacement?

Any suggestion for a brighter bathroom counter bulb? Some LEDs are directional.

I don't think you are going to get any brighter than a 921

http://led4rv.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=220

this one has 400 lumens Vs the 921 at 320

I bought these from Ebay. Very pleased with them. 192 lumens according to the seller when I ask.

Here is a link to my upgrade. I am very happy with both the color and brightness.

I left a similar review on amazon regarding these too.

I think most Napa auto parts stores would be able to tell you how many candle power a simular bulb would be. If you stick with an incondesent bulb, you should be careful and look for signs of melting plastic lenses...

I've seen it, especially in older trailers. First they start to turn yellow, and some I've seen have even started melting the lens shape. Those things put off a ridiculous amount of heat, especially if you leave them on for long periods.

I looked at those bulbs, and I read your thread. I'm a little concerned about the coloring of those bulbs. How much different would you say they are from the incandescent? Your pictures look like a pretty close match, but most of the bulbs over 3000K I've bought have been pretty blue. One was labeled "Natural White" which I would say should be around 3500K, but it had to be at least 4500K, and looked terrible. It made the inside of my trailer look like some kind of mobile CDC lab or something. Granted, I've only used the ultra-cheap ones...

I don't detect any "blue" or "cool white" in my trailer. I have had that issue before with the low cost eBay options but not these. The pictures I posted are are what you get. I intentionally tried to find pictures that would show comparison to the OEM halogen in both color and light output.

The M4products elite series are also very nice -- but more than I cared to spend when replacing 20+ bulbs.

As stated, it can happen. What I was trying to say is if you go with an incondesant 921 look-a-like with more candle power, you will need to really pay attention to the additional heat they will produce. I have also seen where the sockets (over time) start to sag. I suspect between gravity and all the bumps the camper gets while driving down the road plays a role in that, so maybe that is how the lenses get discolored and melt on older units, but with a higher candle power bulb, the additional heat alone may be enough to cause it to happen
