not a problem with a wifi only IPad.There are two addon gps recievers for the Ipad.one called 'Bad Elf" that plugs into the Ipad at the power cord port(still allows use of cord to charge) and a bluetooth version called XGPS150.both 99.95 ea.Amazon has em as does sportys pilot shop www.sportys.com
RAM also makes mounts for the IPads that are really good.
