AC settings

I don't want my AC units freezing up, but also don't want them working harder than necessary. Do you run your AC on cool high or cool high auto?

Cool auto seems to work OK in our 16 Eagle, had it for about 1 1/2 years. We do try to fire them up at least once a month. Happy Trails

My recommendations:
- Keep the fan running while letting the compressor cycle to maintain room temperature. Allowing room air to flow over the coils when not cooling will help prevent icing up.
- Do not run the A/C 24/7. Give the unit at least 4 hours off out of every 24.
- Don't keep an unoccupied RV cold. Going away for the day? Leave the bathroom vent open and a few windows cracked. When you get there, button up and fire up the A/C. You'll use much less electricity too.
