Air conditioning problems

We purchased a Furrion air conditioner over a year ago. We never used it last year due to COVID. Last winter we went to Florida for the winter. Our air conditioner had problems.
We had the compressor replaced. Then we used it for a week. Not good! The ac did not cool the trailer. The ac short cycled.
We have an appointment this Friday to get it looked at.
What is wrong with our ac? Has anyone ever experienced this?

There are a few things you can do on your own. The first would be to verify the compressor is actually running. You might be able to hear it switch on but sometimes it's difficult to hear it over the fan noise. If that's the case and you're comfortable climbing on top of the RV and removing the A/C cover you can check to see/feel the compressor vibrating but be careful because the compressor can get hot after it's been running for some time. If the compressor is running check the temperature at the vent in the RV. It should be at least 15-20 degrees colder than the ambient air. If it's not the system may not have been charged properly or there is a leak.

The compressor runs then turns off for a minute then runs again. Water drips on the inside through the cover. Friday it is going back. This ac never worked. They are trying but we need this repaired. Not impressed with Furrion air conditioning system!

After two trips to the dealer we found the problem. Squirrel cage came apart. The dealer called me and told me they can’t find anything wrong. I asked them to run the ac outside not in the shop. The dealer ran the ac overnight. In the am they found the fan destroyed itself. They had to clean the trailer because black dust was all over.
If you talk to the people that work on your trailer and not get nasty you can get more done. Yes we had to return the trailer a second time. Keep in mind that nothing is perfect.
