As often the case, there are just as many haters as supporters...

...and we're getting to the point where people are standing on opposite sides of the schoolyard, sticking their tongues out at each other.

So can we just accept that Amazon, like most other products and services, has it's good and bad aspects. Some people have only good experiences, some are unlucky - or go looking for things to complain about.

This is an RV forum... can we maybe return to our normal programming?

Interesting discussion actually. May not be RV related, but it's a long winter. Please put this thread on ignore.

I'll just say that I've never had a problem with Amazon...hopefully I never do! I also have an Amazon Fire Stick (for TV & Movies) that works great when we travel!

From my experience Amazon gave me one of the best customer service experience. No hassle, no fight , no arguments, they walked the extra mile to satisfy me, Canada post however is another thing, they are so inept...

Amazing!
About half of this thread claims that Amazon is the spawn of satan and the other half claims that Amazon walks on water. I just ordered some slippers for the wife and a wet bolt kit for the trailer. Very few places give you that kind of selection. Since I am not retired, I don't feel like wasting time canvassing a bunch of different web sites, to save couple of bucks.

Maybe we should have made this thread a "sticky" poll. Pro Amazon here.

I'm standing on the yellow line in the middle of the road. As a Canadian I don't like that I have to pay for Prime in Cda & the US so I can use it when we are away as well. As far as purchasing experiences, no issues on anything.

I am a happy Prime customer.

It's almost to easy to order something and have it sitting on your front porch in 2 days.

I’m a prime member too, and this Christmas season we’ve had on average 2 or 3 packages on the front stoop every day it seems.

I actually wish amazon made it harder for my DW to shop.

but the real damage by amazon is the loss of local retail shops.

I suppose the trucking industry and the “last mile” delivery services are seeing more work, and that could potentially create jobs.

But overall I think amazon will finish the job that super retailers like Walmart started: the complete demise of local retail sales.

It’s funny, I’m a customer of amazon yet I feel somewhat guilty.

I agree. In addition, I think Amazon is tightening the screws on the big boxes. This fall I was looking for a Big Wheel for my little grandson's third birthday. I went to Walmart and Target and neither had one in the store. Not out of stock, only a available online.
