Some googling and 40 years designing switches. Speaking of designing computers I was part of the design team on the TI 99 working on the design of the keyboard. I have found lots of engineers are campers.

TI-99 WOW! I remember that! I think we engineers camp out to give our brains time to recuperate. I'm headed out next weekend. Nothing but coyotes and campfires...

Speaking of TI 99's here is a picture (not a good picture) of the actual prototype switch. 102 of these were used to make up the first keyboards. This quickly became obsolete based upon cost targets. But since I mentioned the product and we are so far off topic anyway, here it is.
