Another hot water heater question
Oh boy another question about water heaters. I have already ran the pink stuff thru the water system but a co-worker said I should pull the pressure release valve, is this really necessary? The camper is packed away at the campground and it takes 1/2 an hour to get there

I assume you shut the (bypass) valves off to the tank and took out the plastic drain plug. The water should drain out of the tank but just a little slower then if you also pulled the lever on the valve.

If you drained the HW tank as stated above, you're fine.
Any small amount of water has room to expand.
If you pumped pink stuff into HW tank, you're also good. Just a little more rinsing the system out next Spring.
Sounds like you're good.

Thanks for the replies, yes I did do the bypass before putting the pink stuff in the water system and did pull the drain plug out so I guess i'm good to go, only 5 1/2 months before we go back

The end of Oct and beginning of Nov will be a huge exodus from our neighbor to the North. Sean, be sure and turn the lights off if you are the last person out.
