Anyone Upgrade to a FanTastic Vent Fan?

I'm thinking about replacing the dinky bathroom fan in my 26BH with one of the FanTastic vent fans. From what I've read, they are very quiet and can pull a lot of air into the trailer through the windows. Might be nice at night instead of using the AC.

Has anybody tried one? Would it be a worthwhile upgrade?

Thanks,

We had the fantastic fan back with our Casita 17'. I do think it helped to cool off the tt when Breezi was in there because she wasn't invited at the tour/program that we attended. Currently we have it in our bath and we only use it when we shower. If it is the main source of your cooling options, I would say yes. But a/c is sooooooooooooo much better

They do move a lot of air and are quiet. Also they can draw a lot of dust into the RV. We hardly ever use ours. AC is best.

Open the windows in the Midwest and you get a camper full of gnats and no see ems. We have a fantastic fan and use it to dry out our bathroom after use. and it works great. I dont think it is powerful enough to cool the trailer.

Ours is in the Bdrm, it's nice to have on cool days, or to purge stale air after it sits for a week. It's the automatic model with rain sensor.

They do draw alot of dust in, noticeable by the dust/dirt trapped by the inside screen.
But I figure that eventually gets in via the open windows anyway.

I didn't consider all the dust and gnats it could pull in through the windows. That wouldn't be good. But I do enjoy a nice breeze. I'll think about it some more. Maybe I can rig up a bracket to hold a good quality furnace filter over the open window to trap the dust.

Thanks for the advice.

This is my second trailer with one.. I would never consider not having at least one ... I always have mine on exhaust only.. and since ALL RV's leak air often I dont bother opening a window...

That's a good idea to use one in the shower area to purge moisture !
