Atwood 3 burner stove

The left rear piezo spark is dead...as in no spark.
Burner has gas and lites ok with a match.

The other 2 burners fire off ok with the piezo knob.

Wire seems ok......at least it is connected to the sparking device.

Trailer unit is new and this is the first time I have tried that LR burner.

I have wiggled and pulled on the wires to no avail.

Any quick fix ideas while I am smack dab in the middle of a 45 day road trip?

I would contact your dealer an make them aware of the problem and make arrangements to have the unit serviced, repaired or replaced upon your return. Or see what they may recommend. In the meantime I would keep a spark igniter handy for when you need to use the faulty burner

Thank you.....

I have contacted the dealer and they can get me in next week.
Except I can get in next week.

I don't use the LR burner at all so it's not a big deal and can wait until I do get back from this road trip.

I was hoping someone might know a quick fix.

Redsnapper, I had the same symptoms with mine as well. For me the burner was actually touching the pizo ignighter which just shorts it out. I simply moved the burner a smidge- it seemed to not be sitting quite right and it worked!

Hopefully it's this simple and quick for you too.

Good luck,

Jeff

Often I end up using a long neck BBQ lighter to light the stove top (same one I use to light the oven)

On mine it's the front sparker that's stopped working. I've pulled the burner out, cleaned the top, closed the gap, opened the gap, etc. All to no avail.

In the end, I found a replacement burner on eBay for $15 and bought it. The model numbers seemed to match - but in the end it was the wrong part.

So i don't know the ultimate fix. But that sparker looks like it's hard to replace as there's a small snap ring holding it in there.

If you find the answer, please share!

1. If you can, move the wire to a different burner and see if the trouble follows.

2. With the lid open and a darkened room, look for a spark along the length of the wire.

If the other two burners work (and therefore the piezo sparker) that leaves only the wire, the connection to the sparker, the connection to the burner, or the insulated sparker on the burner.
