Atwood gGA6AA-10E Firing on gas but not working?

Hi all! I scoured the forum, the web, you tube, and more, but I can't figure this one out:

Gas is flowing and igniting on the first click--and almost sounds like a small pop/explosion as if the spark is coming too late.

The unit burns, but it's not firing at that roaring stage where it's heating water, and I had some black soot on the grill and wall of the camper! So it's burning, but not at full capacity.

I tried cleaning connections, and even swapped in a new circuit board, but same issue.

This is an odd one! Any help is much appreciated before I have to call the dreaded techs.

Thanks!
Martin

Sounds like spider web in the burner tube or mud dawber nest
Black soot is wrong air fuel mixture

It sounds like a bad air/propane mixture. Check the burner tube for a cobb web, or some other kind of obstruction. It doesn't take more than one web strand to mess it up. Next, measure the air mixture collar. It's normally 1/4" open. I'm betting on something in the tube.

Thanks!

Thanks to you both--moth in the tube--wow. Cheaper than a circuit board! We were infiltrated by them up at Rocky Mountain National Park recently. So happy to hear that thing fire again! Really appreciate the help!
