B&D Battery Charger

Anyone recommend the best/competitive place to purchase a Black & Decker 40amp VEC1093DBD battery charger? Having trouble finding one around my home base.

Thanks in advance.

Bob

Lee,

I found the Amazon source as well, but that was the only one. Someone said Walmart carried them, but they aren't shown on their web site.

I ordered mine from AMAZON... 2-day delivery...

Comes right to my back door - free shipping. After all the years of ording things from AMAZON I am hearing now they have a shipping point here in Virgina so now I am going to have to pay sales tax - bummer...

Google says (Shopzilla) Sears is carrying them but that may not include your local Sears....

Hey Roy, when does that Amazon Va sales tax begin? My recent orders of about a month ago had no sales tax.

Amazon

I got a letter from AMAZON telling me this a month or so back... Must be soon... I will have to look--- May have burned the letter already... I use AMAZON for just everything I get. They have everything and it is usually free shipping and only two day delivery...

I gues they have or maybe started building a shipping plant here in the state somewhere...

I will do some checking and get back,,,

Sen. Frank Wagner, R-Virginia Beach, has sponsored legislation to address the so-called "Amazon loophole" in sales tax collection.

Internet retailing giant Amazon.com Inc. operates a distribution center in Sterling and announced last month that it would spend $135 million to build two warehouses outside Richmond. State law requires a dealer with a physical presence in the state to collect and remit the 5 percent sales tax on purchases made by Virginia residents, but Amazon has never done so.

Retail groups have complained that Amazon has an unfair advantage over brick-and-mortar retailers, which must add sales tax on customer purchases.

Wagner's bill, SB597 (full text), would clarify state law to specify that a dealer that "maintains a distribution center, warehouse, fulfillment center, office, or similar location within the commonwealth that facilitates the delivery of property sold by the dealer to its customers" would have to register to collect and remit sales tax.

x3 on Amazon. But I was looking into this unit for my house and cannot find it except for e-bay for $130.00 FS and no tax currently. Amazon is OOS as of today.

We will begin paying sales tax here in TX as well. Saw a piece in the newspaper recently.
Bummer! When free shipping was thrown in that almost always made it a no-brainer where to buy.

Well guys, I ordered mine from Amazon this afternoon, and think it should work well with the blue EF2400iSHC.

Thanks for the feedback.

I know you've already ordered, but for anyone else out there that hasn't:

At Mendards home center (don't know if these stores are everywhere in US, but are well known in the Midwest) I stumbled across this very model of B&D charger for $79.00 last week. It was not an advertised special, just marked down and they had about 12 on the shelf. With my pocketful of rebate certificates (a Mendard's sales tactic) I was able to buy this for $50.00. The next day I had to go back to Menards again - there was only one left on the shelf!
