backup camera?

Anybody using a wireless backup camera with there TT. I think it would be helpful but where to mount camera and what range for wireless signal and I see inexpensive units on E Bay and ones at dealer that cost 4 to 5 hundred dollars. Any suggestions?

We just got one in last week at our dealership, it is a wireless remote that both pieces have a rechargeable battery in it, the signal range is longer than a 53 foot semi trailer, they retail for $269

Try searching the forum, there are lots of posts on this topic. I think the consensus is the wireless cameras pick up too much interference if you plan on mounting the camera any farther away that the back of your TV.

When backing into my storage unit, I use my iPhone in a ram mount, ipad in the truck, and a very cheap baby monitor app.

I bought one and did not like it. Took it back for a refund.
I have invested lots of time and money in my wife and a set of walkie talkies. They are my back up camera!

I have a set of walkie talkies but I was more concerned about when I am driving. I can't see the people behind me who want to push me and then jump lanes at the wrong time

We got a wireless one from rearsafety. Only used it for the drive home so far but it seems good. Has a mic so my husband can hear me while backing up and you can turn on guide lines which I'm hoping will come in handy when backing it into our storage spot.

I installed a wired one from Rear View Safety.. One cam on the back of the truck cap and one on the back of the TT. No interference with wired units.. Next project might be adding RVS's dash cam & recorder to the mix..

I wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I just recently purchased a Tadi Brothers 120 degree Backup camera for my new RV, the installation was fast and easy and the picture quality is very good.

Samantha thanks that is what I was looking for. I was going to get the one that sends a signal to my iPhone so I won't need a monitor in my truck

Look into Ram mount. It works, differently than most wireless. Sets up a WiFi signal not Bluetooth. Different frequencies less interference. No lines thru your view screen. Magnetic mounted camera that you can move that works off their app on hour phone or tablet. I can't post links with my phone but just do a Google search for Ram Mount. Its a company geared to off road enthusiasts. About 150 bucks. Just another way.

Sounds good that you found what you were looking for. Well, when I am driving, I find it easy to drive while looking in the monitor because using phone while driving haven't been proved useful for me. Therefore, I got this rv backup camera .

I just order the 2 camera system with the trailer disconnect. Got the smaller 170dree for the truck and the larger 120 degree view for the trailer with built in mic. I bought it from RVS rear view safety right from there website free shipping and 10% off. Type in rvsmom for the coupon code. Sorry I can't give a review yet being I haven't received the product yet but hopefully it will work good.

Did you get a physical monitor or the one that is in the mirror. I can't use the mirror one because my truck has a built in camera that displays in the mirror already. Also the phone is a spare one so I can put it into a ram mount as I already do this for the boat as I use that phone for a gps

Has anyone tried using a GoPro camera and their iPhone/Android with the GoPro App as a backup aid? I started thinking about this and I'm going to give it a try. Yes, it will be a minor nuisance to have to delete the video after the fact but if you have a GoPro, it seems like it would be a handy way to use it via WiFi. The best part is you could use one of those sticky adapters on the back of the rig and no muss, no fuss.
