Battery not working on own

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a bit of help. I just purchased a Jayco Eagle HT 27.5 RLFT.
When I am running off of just the battery the battery reads dead (No lights and nothing works), when I plug in the campers 30 amp, or hook it up to the truck it reads full (All lights, everything works).

I've used a multimeter to check the battery and it reads 12.37v when not hooked up to anything (no lights and nothing works). and 12.37v when I have the 30 amp plugged in (all lights and everything works)

Did the guys at the dealership hook up my battery incorrectly? What do I need to do to get the camper to run on just its own battery?

Hope it's something easy!

Since you're getting the same reading on and off shore power, your battery is not connected to the coach. My first check would be the 30A fuse inline right near the battery. Those blow all the time, and could very easily be the cause of this issue.

You have got an open between the converter and the battery.

Check all the fuses (4 of 'em, IIRC) and especially the frame ground connection near the battery.

Got it. It was the frame ground connection. It was hidden from view and not connected.

"Not connected"?

Sheesh, that's not good at all. I've heard about questionable connections, but to not be connected at all?

Anyone got a count on this issue?

I can recall at least 3 cases since May...
