Battery pack layout challenges

Hi all. I got a 400W Renogy solar kit for my 2019 330RSTS. I was thinking about a 4x6V-230AH golf car battery pack. Challenge has become where to put them. I dreamed of putting all 4 of these on the battery rack under the propane. Doesn't look like I can find a box that will fit 4 batteries and that space. I considered 2 under and 2 on the normal top of a-frame battery rack, but I read that you can have uneven charging issues with batteries that are separated like that.

Any general suggestions?
Is there a way to wire 4 batteries in two spots in such a way to eliminate or at least lessen any issues. I figure it would be 2 and 2 batteries about a 4 ft cable away. Could I use longer cables for all batteries so they're "equidistant"? Could they be cabled like 4ft cable series, short cables parallel or vice versa?

Any thoughts appreciated. Being quarantined and some mediocre weather has me chomping at the bit to get to work on my mods for this year.

Connect each set of 2 batteries in series in the two different locations and then wire the two location sets in parallel. Try to keep all sets of cables the same length and you shouldn't see any charging issues. This is what we do when building battery systems for telecommunications and data centers.

Larger gauge cables will reduce the negative effects of separation.
