Battery - Value Buy

I am replacing the batteries in my 2020 Greyhawk 27U. Long story short, dealer placed two different batteries of apparently different ages in my rig, one old, indeterminant battery, and one marine start battery. Ground lug nut was cross threaded on one post and connections were quite loose/poor. The post got so hot that the lead melted around the post base and will not allow the nut to be removed or tightened. I had to use a Dremel cut-off wheel and a chisel to get the nut off. Not the point though.

I am going to install 2 AGM Group 24 or Group 34 batteries. Does anyone care to offer an opinion on a good value battery? My battery compartment requires a 10.25 inch battery length, max, So I need a recommendation on a Group 24 or 34 battery. Can't be one with a suffix. For the most part we only boondock for 2 consecutive nights, max. I have access to most supply stores - O'Reilly's, Sam's, Camping World. etc.

Thanks.

I'm not going suggest a number but bigger is generally better. For the source I would go to Sam's, or equivalent and get deep cycle ones. The combination (deep cycle/starting) don't hold up as well.
As far as manufacturers go there aren't that many and the biggest difference is often the label and price.

Don't forget to take the old batteries in as a trade in. There is normally a CORE charge if you don't have the old ones.

I have had very good results with Interstate Batteries. I've used them for years in all my trailers and even my vehicles. Reasonably priced and decent quality...

After nearly 40 years of watering, trickle charging, being afraid of going past 12.1 volts and harming the batteries and just being annoyed that I don't have enough capacity I bought a Renogy 100 Amp Bluetooth battery. 5 year guarantee, Bluetooth to my phone on what is in the battery, not some voltage that might indicate the charge left and no worries if I accidentally run it down to zero.
If your converter supports lithium or you have solar, just get a lithium.

"good value battery" Does this mean price is more important than performance? There are countless brands and retailers out there so do your own research and do a cost vrs. ah comparison and then decide what you are comfortable paying.

Best value is 2 golf cart batteries wired +to- to make 12 volts.. they last longer and hold more power

If you are near an Interstate Distribution warehouse, see if the have some "Blems". These are batteries that have a crease or a blemish that make them less desirable than pretty new ones and can sometimes be 50% below retail but have a full warranty.

An Interstate Dealer can also request a Blem from the delivery driver or can see if any are available.
