Bed room vent fan

We are getting ready to put our new eagle 336fbok in service and would like to install a vent fan in our bedroom. Has anyone installed one and is the camper already wired for one?

As long as you have a vent opening already the process is very simple. You can purchase a kit from Amazon that fits right into the existing opening.

You can fish the wires from your ceiling light fixture to get power.
Overall, a pretty simple project that takes an hour or two at most to complete.

Good luck and happy camping!

Do you have a vent there already but want to install a fan or are you wanting to actually cut the hole and install a completely new vent with fan?

Do you have pets?

We changed our fan to a thermostatically controlled unit. That way if there is a power failure while we're away, the fan will kick in before it gets too hot in the motorhome.

Just a vent with no fan in it.

If use the light as a power source it will only work with the light on right?

If your unit is prewired for a second A/C. You can convert that wire to 12volts in your converter and use that as a power source. Otherwise, if your light has a wall switch, then yes it would only work with that switch on.

Not if your lights are switched at the fixtures.
