Best practice with ac cooling

Do I have it correct that the ac unit should pump out air that’s 20 degrees cooler than what it brings in from inside the trailer through the return? If not correct disregard second paragraph.

In my trailer, the front ac is in the bedroom which is small and has a low ceiling. Cools off very quickly. The main ac is in the living area. Tall ceiling and it has the quiet whatever it’s called setup, so no cold dump on the ac unit. Seems to me with this setup, if I can only pick one ac to cool off the trailer, I’d be best to pick the front as that one will be sucking in cooler air at the return and therefore blowing cooler air throughout.

What say you?

15 to 20 should be the temp differential at the coil so you would loose some of the temp drop by the time it gets to the back of the trailer.

It should be 15 to 20 degrees difference between the indoor supply and the indoor return.

Mine was 9 and I got on the roof and cleaned the coils well. Now, I have 20-degrees again.

We played with our 2 AC setup for a month or more and found that if we keep our BR AC set about 4-5 degrees lower than the LR AC, it tends to balance out how often each unit runs as well as how long each unit runs to coll things down overall.

We almost never touch the thermostats now.

We also run our bedroom 3 degrees cooler and they cycle about the same - if we are watching TV we will set the bedroom 4 degrees cooler so that it is quieter ( fan in other room ) and easier to hear Les

Never thought of running one room cooler than the other to cut down on cycles. I’ll try that.
