Yes I know. I’ve been an electrician for 37 years. I’ve never seen GFCI breakers at any campground, rv park or resort. I was simply stating a fact because a few people went down the GFI tripping goat trail. The OP has not responded to my question if he plugged into 30 amp receptacle. If he plugged into a 15 or 20 amp GFCI receptacle then the GFCI tripping theory’s would be valid. I’ve been on this forum for about 4 years and electrical threads go down various goat trails quickly. I’m assuming he is been plugging into a regular 30a RV receptacle, but I generally don’t assume as an experienced troubleshooter of various electrical systems I know one thing, you can’t troubleshoot overt the internet because there are never enough facts to troubleshoot from.

RVs with GFCI circuits do not play well with GFCI outlets. I've never seen a 30 amp GFCI outlet in a campground. This would wreak havoc with every RV who plugged into this outlet.

You haven’t seen a 30amp GFCI outlet anywhere because they don’t exist.

I'm guessing you have not been to a new marina lately. They are required. Have been about 2014. They are coming to a campground near you. Won't that be fun.

I have gone to three state parks and have tried multiple electric posts in the parks. Trailer is 30 amps. Have plugged in direct to post and tried extension cord to post. Have also tried cheater to 50amp post. Breaker on posts all pop. Have had it to the RV center twice now, they are unable to find any problems.
When the trailer is plugged into my garage and at the RV center everything works fine.
ANY IDEAS???? Desperate to go camping!

Turn off ALL 120 breakers. Plug in to ped. Start with the RV main and turn it on. Then go to each one slowly turning them on one at a time.If it all holds start turning on some loads. Take note when it trips.

No, motorhome would take on water and sink as soon as I got it off the dock. Please post a link for one. What NEMA configuration is it ?

Please post a link for 30 amp GFCI receptacles. Or at least manufacturer and part number. I want to buy one.

It's a long shot, but any chance the switch to it is bad, and it's stuck in the ON position or element is bad? Then, when you turn on the A/C or Micro, it blows the main breaker?
Like others have said, turn off all the breakers to the trailer in the panel, and turn on each one, one at a time, to see if any pop the main.

Not outlets. Breakers at the on shore service panels. Everything on the dock is GFI. I have hear reports of GFI 30 breakers in campground peds. That will be a real PITA.

We have experienced similar problems, but also found out that between the fridge, electric water heater and then several chargers for electronics plugged in, eliminating all those chargers (4-6) and a computer and going gas on the water heater eliminated the problem!

We trip pedestal breakers frequently, especially in our state parks where the breakers and receptacles are old and worn.

This very interesting?
In Michigan State Parks they are starting to install 30 and 50 amp ground fault breakers.
Just for kicks, if you take a multi meter and go from the neutral to the ground, should trip the ground fault breaker. That might take the out of the equation.
Although, l don't think its a ground fault problem. Just not getting enough info to think it out

I was frequently popping breakers at campgrounds and the 30 amp RV outlet installed at my home. I started using a surge protector and haven’t popped a breaker since.

Buy an EMS and let it diagnose the pedestals.

Why would that trip the GFI? Just asking, not rhetorical.

You need to check your amperage draw. Don’t trust Dealer, go to somebody reputable. Get an Surge protector if you don’t already have one, maybe Install a soft start for your air-conditioning. I found reverse polarity and crazy wiring at a few RV parks. Someone once told me usually the same guy that cuts the lawn is the campground electrician at these parks!
