change to led lights

I want to change the very hot lights that came in my Jayflight trailer to LED. First, I don't know how to get the old lights out. (Photo attached.) Second, what do I look for in LED lights?

I can't find anything that tells me how to remove the old bulbs. I'd appreciate it if you can tell me. Thank you.

Most all bulbs it's either just by pulling or twist 90 degrees and pull.

Thank you. It's flat, so I guess pull, not twist, but Im not even sure how much is supposed to come out. Apparently the base should come too, not just the bulb. I tried to attach photo but it didn't work. It says "12 volt lamp type 921".

Are you having trouble getting the bulbs out of the dual light ceiling fixtures.

To remove the lens is easy once you know what to do. Squeeze in on the lens close to the center of the fixture. Then you can simply slide the lens outwards and it should fall into your hand..

You can see the slots in this google image along the edge of the lens...

I elected to use the small LED boards from ebay China that plug into the light fixture socket where your hot bulb pluged into...

looks something like this photo...

These have sticky tape on the back of the boards and holds it in place.

I did mine back in 2008 and I'm sure alot of different types of LED assys are on the market now. They sell a LED boads that has the same bulb socket your light assy is using...

Something like this perhaps...

The lessons learned on this is to never buy a whole change-out group of replacement LED bulbs. Just buy one and if you like it then buy the rest...

I went with WARM WHITE color that matches the incandescent bulbs pretty good for me...

You got it, just pull. Cross reference the bulb to LED on Amazon or eBay.

I can't pull it. I'm guessing something has to be released but I can't figure out what.

those type pull straight out.
You might have to wiggle a little from side to side (the bulb, not you) to get it out.

Do I pull the bulb by itself or the thing it's in?

A quick Google search of the bulb number you posted will show you that it's just the bulb when not in a socket.

X2 on what Roy says. I also went with the E-bay China LED lights with the flat sticky board too. I've had these now for 2 years and all are working.

A tip, if you go this route, wipe down the flat part of the socket with alcohol.

Here's a link to what I bought:

Hold the glass bulb with your right hand hold the white base with your left hand. you might have to wiggle the bulb side to side a bit to get it loose.. the base stays on the fixture.. the bulb and its foot are all glass.. just don't squeeze the glass to hard..

They are easily removed with a framing hammer.

We swapped all of ours with this style, found on Amazon. We love them. Went with warm white, similar to original color.

Thanks to everyone who helped me regarding changing to LED lights. First, you all explained how to remove the old lights and then you gave me the excellent advice to contact M4 products. Steve responded to my email immediately and in 2 days I had 10 lamps that were exactly what I wanted!
