Clarion NX501 infotainment blinking

Melbourne 2015 motorhome started having a dimming issue with radio every few seconds at regular intervals. It doesn't turn off, just dims to very dark and then goes back to normal. I have the console out and checked all wire connections and they seem good. Tried resetting it and no luck there. Happens when driving and also parked with house battery off and on.

If you're still in warranty contact Jayco. Tell them the symptoms and ask for a replacement and you will self-install. I went this route with my first trailer and they were happy to oblige and also paid to ship the defective unit back to them.

Based on a conversation with Clarion, they recommended disconnecting the orange and white wire (dimmer wire) and see if it changes. I tried this and the blinking stopped. However, it no longer stays on when the key is removed from the ignition, of which it would stay on before. This makes me think the blinking may have been related to the house battery 12 volt input. Is there some type of automatic switch that toggles between chassis battery and house battery?

I called Jayco and they're good to offer up a warranty, as it is just barely within 2 years on that. However, the nearest dealer is 2.5 hours away and it would be nice to have a fix without driving all that way. I may ask Jayco about self-install like RedHorse1 did.

There is a dealer in town but I didn't buy from them and didn't have a good feeling about the service department. Jayco wanted me to use them but after I whined about the time off work and overall hassle of getting the unit there they offered to ship it to me if I was comfortable doing the install.

Jayco did the right thing and shipped me one! Thanks. It is an NX504 so it is a different model with different plugs. However they were labeled well so I kept good attention when I unplugged and matched up cables. I reinserted it and everything seems to be working fine now.
