CO alarm

My co alarm has been going off. I have had the propane off for 7 hours and it’s still going. Any ideas why it’s still alarming? As far as my understanding goes if the propane is off, there is nothing that should be triggering the alarm.

Why is it going off to begin with? Was there an exposure to propane? Are you on shore power or battery? Have you tried disconnecting power to it (turn off power, flip breaker, etc.) to try to reset it? Is it reacting to propane or abnormal CO levels? How old is the alarm? Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks for the questions. It’s a year old. I’ve Ickes the power twice. It’s plugged into the house with an adapter. It’s reacting to co per the alarm display.

Did or do you have a flame or furnace running in the alarm time frame (perhaps storing the trailer in a garage with a running vehicle)? Is the trailer enclosed (windows, doors shut on TT)? If enclosed, was it occupied and if so, has anyone exhibited signs of CO poisoning (lightheaded, nauseous, headache, etc)? Have you tried running a hair dryer on the cool setting directed at the louvers of the alarm to circulate fresh air into it?

No flame running at all. It’s on the street after being in storage. Not occupied. I’ve been running a box fan in there for a few hours. Nothing has been running in the trailer for the last 24 hoits.

It's likely bad. Look on the back there is a date indicates the replace by date.
It is supposed to last 5 years. Call the company and they may replace it. If not, they are readily available.

It's pretty common for them to be defective or go bad. If you buy one off ebay, it may be past the time of replacement and not guaranteed.

Also, make sure no other fumes are getting to it. I had mine in our shop with the door open (doing repairs) and the CO detector went off from automotive fumes.
