Cold shower rush gone forever

Finally got sick and tired of having a burst of cold water when taking a shower (when turning off the shower head to soap up) and went on YouTube and looked at the video from a guy about putting a check valve in the hot water line. Decided to give it a try and it really works. I installed a check valve on the hot and cold water lines just before the shower body and a 100% shut off valve on the shower hose and it worked perfectly (used the shower valve that dribbled water when it was turned off but it didn’t work, the shower hose still filled up with cold water). No more cold water rush and exactly the same temperature whether it’s on or off. The check valve may not be needed on the cold water line but it was easy to do so i did it just in case the hot water would back up and scald you.

That makes sense. I don't get a cold rush in my 26BH, I get a hot rush, so it's probably good you did both lines.

Oh...and you look tasty. Verrrrrry tasty.

Same here. The OE head had the cold blast but not the Oxygenics .

I adjust the flow on the shower head itself, not at the faucet. I let the water trickle just a little and that is enough to stop the cold or hot rush. This worked on all three of our RVs with a shower.
