Communications Nerds?

Anyone have comms setup in their rig (Ham/GMRS/CB)? Bonus if you use SDR/Satellite/WIFI/Cellular. I'm trying to figure out something cool for the 5th wheel but would like to see what people are using now.

We have a few Baofeng UV-5R radios that we sometimes connect an external mast mounted antenna to these radios. The mast mounted antenna makes a huge difference.

These cover the GMRS band and the FRS bands as well. We also keep a hand-held CB with a magnetic mount antenna in the FJC. Most of our radio use is when working / watching motorsports events - or - we are in an area with no cellular service.

I added a couple of remote control head with speaker setups for setting up a comm position in my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer.

I ordered this from AMAZON Control head Kit for Kenwood TM-71A...

This allowed me to have a Remote Radio Control head with Microphone sitting on top of a KES-5 Speaker unit... Pretty neat setup...

This is a floorplan layout drawing of my StarCraft RT14 OFF-ROAD POPUP showing where my antennas, 12VDC distribution panels, control heads, are located...

On the top pf my 10-foot tower section I have an a OFF-CENTER DIPOLE antenna (All band) when I can throw the end wires up into trees... My favorite bands in 80M and 40M...

Use to have photos of all of this but can't put my hands on them yet...

My Radio control panel is close to my wrap around seating and the radios and scanner etc are off to them self wired to the 12VDC SUB Power Panel.

The biggest problem I have is the RFI Noise being generated by my PURE SINE WAY Power Inverters... Get a loud BURRR type sound all over the HF Radio Frequencies...
