Converter question?

Replaced the converter on my 2012 hybrid camper. The small fan continues to run. Only have it plugged into a 120v with extinction cord. Is this normal?

Fan will run as long as it is generating heat ie: charging the battery, lights are on, etc.

Can I turn it off with the breaker at night, to cut down on the sound?

Sure you can, but you will then be running on battery only. If your converter fan runs continuously and never shuts off then it may have a bad heat sensor system. Could be bad out of the box if new.

It should shut off if the battery is fully charged and there are only light loads like LED lights and occasional pump use. Have you checked your battery? Is it getting overcharged, boiled dry and ruined?? Hopefully it is just a part you can put in. I have had converters in several campers over the years and all only cycled the fan during high load times like when the batter was down.
