Converter Whining

The converter in my new 5ver regularly whines. It appears to resolve itself once I put a load on it by turning on lights, etc.

Is there anything I can do to keep it from whining in the first place?

My 32BHDS does the exact same thing. I previously asked on this forum about this but haven't come up with a solid solution to the problem.

I resort to leaving the radio on with the volume at 0. This is enough of a load to eliminate the whine.

Mine was replaced due to the high pitched squeal. Mine occurred when in charge and boost mode. The whining went away under float. It was a piercing to say the least.

Also it was not a fan, but electronic somehow.
