Dining Area Overhead Light

Our 07 Eagle 341RLQS came with a 3 bulb light fixture- It generates a great deal of heat and I intend to replace it- When I removed the globe and the screws that held the fixture in place, I discovered what I feel is unusual wiring- Each of the 3 bulbs has an individual wire leading up through the ceiling plus a single switch which has 2 wires also going through the ceiling plus a ground wire- The fluorescent fixture I intend to install has only 2 wires, a white "hot" and a black ground- What is the correct way to accomplish this installation? I await replies to this unusual situation- Incidentally, replacement LED bulbs are quite pricy [ $ 28 and change EACH] THANX in advance for all info y'all can share- DD

That fixture on my rig is a DC powered light. The rest of the wires may just be stuffed up in the hole. I am also looking for a replacement for my light because it is forever coming apart and also I always bang my head on it due to the drop from the ceiling.

I have had it down a number of times tightening the many parts to no avail.

Will be interested in your solution.

I replaced that three light fixture with one that is identical to the one that is over the couch.

Had finally had enough bumping my head on it...

Where did you find an exact match, Jeff? My head hurts. I want it gone.

Isn't the black wires the hot and the white should be common?

If you pull the 3 black wires down, they probably go to a single black hot wire. Kind of like a ceiling fan wiring.

If not, I would think you could connect the black wire of the new to any of the 3 black wires in the current fixture and put wire caps on the ones not in use.

otherwise, you could connect
all blacks together
white to white (if you don't have a separate ground ) or white+Ground to white

The ground and common wires go to the same place in a breaker box or distribution center.

Just checking before you get a surprise.

I've got a contact @ Camptown RV that I worked with. They looked up the exact part number by model year and ordered it up...
