Do trailers convert the battery from 24v to 12v?

A bit lost on this and I'm not around my trailer to tinker with it. But I have my battery from our previous trailer here with me and it says 24v on it.... I'm trying to hook up 12v LED strip lights right off the battery and it's not working.

Do the trailers convert it inside the trailer? Or am I missing something?

Never heard of a 24 volt battery in a vehicle/RV. People will put 2 12volts together to get the 24 volts if they want a 24 volt battery system. When you test the voltage of the battery what do you get?

24v

I have never seen a TT that uses a 24 volt battery. Are you sure that is not the size of the case and the battery is charged? If you hooked up 12 volt LEDs to a 24 volt battery they are more than likely trash.

RV's using 12 volt for operating systems (commercial trucks might run of 24 Volts) so do not hookup 24 volt to your 29 FBS. It might blow the fuses or do damage to the converter.

Deka Marine? That would be a model number if that is the case, 12V.

I have never seen one in a RV. Maybe at some time they used 24v as a std but not lately and I have had tt's older than that. The converter converts the 120vac into 12vdc and also charges the 12v battery and also provides 12vdc to power lights and appliances.

What is the battery voltage when you test it?
