DVD player on shelf in Jay Flight SLX

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already. I'm a newbie and am not great with searching old posts. Just wondering what solutions people have come up with for attaching a DVD player to a TV in a Jay Flight SLX. The shelf in the TV frame may just barely hold a small DVD player but exposed wires are going to be a problem.

I think the plan was suppose to be you use the DVD player Jayco installed already

SLX only comes with a radio, not DVD player. We just set one underneath the tv and put it away before leaving. Your other option is look for a replacement for the stereo that includes a DVD player.

That just blew my mind.
It would cost more to stock and inventory non DVD's as opposed to stocking the DVD's that cost next to nothing.
