Easy Start needed for 15k BTU A/C and 3k generator?

I have a line on a Yamaha EF3000iSEB (2800 running / 3500 start) at a good price. If I get this, will I still need something like the Micro Air to get the 15k BTU A/C started when running on generator?

What little I know I got from this thread.

I have the Champion Inv./Gen 2800/3100 and have no problem when running the 13.5K A/C.

Thanks. I'm still debating 2 x 2k (Costco A-I Power 2000 w/Yamaha engine) for $1k vs. the single EF3000iSEB. I'm not a spring chicken any more and unloading the 150 lb. Yamaha would be a chore.

I use 2 x 2k gens from Costco (Yamaha engine) for last 3 years and have no problems starting my 15k AC. Each gen weight 47 lbs and I can move them around easily and I'm 71 yo. They store nicely in the covered bed of TV and they're always locked up, in the bed or while in use.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

I'm thinking that may be the right route. More capacity, more flexibility, lower weight, same cost. The 3k being 150 lbs means I guess it would be harder to grab and run with, but we'll cable these to the RV anyway. I don't have a cover for the truck bed yet - too much to spend on camper accessories!!

If you are running 2 2000 watt generators in economy mode, They don't spool up fast enough to supply the instantaneous current demand of the compressor startup.
This is where the Micro-Air easy-start comes into play. I have 2 Yamaha 2000 gennys and I also have the Micro Air easy start and I can run my generators in economy mode and the 15K starts very nice and no heavy load on the gennys.

What little I know I got from this thread.
My Yamaha EF2400iSH can start my 15K AV if nothing else is on.
