Electrical adapter

1st trailer owner of testerday. 2016 Jay flight, Jayco. Ownership made sure I had a 30amp to 15 amp converter. Plug on the rear clearly is a 50 amp and different design. Am I missing something?? Is there another plug for running at your house? Probably need 50 to 15 amp converter?

I"m guessing that you mean your RV has a 50A connector , so, yes, you will need an adaptor to connect to the 30A post at some campgrounds, and another to connect to the 15A outlets at home. They're cheap enough, and easy to carry in your toolbox, so shouldn't be a problem.

Keep in mind, though, that your heavy-duty appliances, like AC, will bring the load up to something very close to the max for a standard domestic outlet. I can, for instance, run my AC, or my microwave, but not both.

I'd just get a 50 to 30 that way you are prepared for everything. You'll probably use the 50 to 30 a lot more anyway.

Juliian won....
