Question Electrical @#$%^ - follow up

I can't repeat the problem and am now confused.

We returned home from the full service RV park. Frig was running on propane on the way to / from the RV park, and ran on 120V while at the park. No issues.

I came home, and as usual, plugged into the same 120V/20A outlet and kept frig running until we had time to empty in on Monday. Monday night I decided to see if I could repeat the fault by turning on the fan and running the frig on 120V through the night. It ran fine.

The only condition left to check is to pull the fuse on the battery and try to run the frig on 120V with and without the fan running to see if the GFI trips.

Will a load on the converter - without a battery connected - cause a .005a trip of a GFI?

Tim

Should not. But that would be a good test.

I do not recall form the first post. Is the outlet you are using inside or outside the garage? If it is outside, have you pulled the cover, to see if there is moisture in the box? Also had it been raining prior to the initial GFI issue. Moisture trips GFIs
