Faucet handle removal

2018 321RSTS
Bathroom faucet cold side squeaks.
Does anyone know how to remove the handle to get to the cartridge? It has a plastic pin on the side but I’m not sure if it’s removable.

Cricket,
I have a 2020 HT that has the same faucet and the same squeak. The whitish plastic/nylon piece is actually what locks the handle in place. Use a small diameter, non-pointed metal object (I use a nailset) to depress it and pull up on the handle. I have had to do this more than once. Once the handle releases pull out the nailset or whatever you are using to depress it and the handle will come off. Re-installing is easier, you simply push down on the handle and it will lock in.

I tried dielectric grease the first time, it worked for a while. The second time I sprayed some Boeshield T-9 on the valve assembly and it seems to last longer.

My expectations are that I will replace the entire faucet the next time it drives me insane, if it hasn't broken into pieces by then!

The faucet sets they provide are just plastic. Had issues with our bathroom sink hot faucet would squeek. I lubed it about ever trip out or two weeks of use.
Broke down and bought a Moen
The only metal in ours was the spring holding the rubber seat in place. Everything else was plastic or chromed plastic.
Only issue swappi g to residential faucet is the sink is part of the counter and much thinner material.
Had to adaptafit plastic washers between the bottom of counter and the faucet nuts
YMMV

Thanks, pushing the pin in did it. I’ll probably replace the faucet as well

A belated thanks for the advice on getting the handle off. Did mine today. I, too, expect to replace both bath and kitchen faucets but will go both as I’d like them to match. I was told by an RV tech to make sure to get ones with 1/2-inch fittings underneath, not 3/8”. I’ll be curious to see what you all replace these with and how easy the swap is. Please report back when you do!
