Furnace and thermostat

Hi all,

I recently purchased a 2022 24BH and it seems that the furnace / thermostat works differently than my previous travel trailer and I am hoping someone can confirm my thoughts here. On one of our last camping trips, I turned the furnace on at night and set the thermostat to 68 degrees. I did not have the fan on. I woke up in the middle of the night to the inside temperature at 85 degrees. It was not cycling the furnace at all and didn't seem like the thermostat (digital Furrion) was controlling the temperature. I turned the fan on in the overhead AC/Fan unit and it seemed to control the temperature and cycle on as necessary.

I guess my question is, is there a temperature sensor in the roof unit that controls the thermostat to where as air passes over that sensor, it is what is controlling the thermostat versus a temperature sensor that is actually in the thermostat itself?

Thanks!

We just took our 2022 24BH out for her maiden voyage to HighCliff state park in Wisconsin and our furnace and thermostat worked fine. The fan has nothing to do with the heat, the furnace has its own fan and the heat comes from the floor vents not the ceiling. The thermostat has the sensor that controls the heat or A/C, whichever is selected. If your furnace is not shutting off at the set temperature there is a problem that your dealer should fix as it’s still under warranty. We had a few issues with ours when it was delivered, no electricity on the slide out, A/C wasn’t plugged in, and the antenna didn’t work. They are troubleshooting the antenna now, everything else is good.
