What is the model number of your generator?

You may have a generator suited for a 30 amp system, and your camper has 50 amp system.

In a 50 amp system, both red and black are 120 volts hot.
If both the red and black are not connected to 120 volts, your transfer switch may not operate.

You also should have a set of control wires in your trailer to connect to the genset.
