Go Power 120w solar and Generator

I recently purchased a Go Power 120w portable solar kit and was wondering if I could run my generator on the motorhome to operate the microwave while I have the solar panels connected to the battery. Basically, I'd have the solar connected during the day, but might need to turn on the microwave; hence, the generator too, during the day to do some cooking.

Hopefully, I could do this without having do disconnect the solar unit. Is this possible?

I am interested in this myself. I haven't seen any posts on issues arising when multiple things try to charge the batteries at the same time. I haven't done it myself, but I hear that some owners run the generator whilst driving. And they may also have solar on the roof.

I suppose that if battery voltage is up due to something trying to charge the batteries, then whatever else is trying to charge the batteries will assume the batteries are fully charged and will just stop.

Not a problem. We recently installed 200 watts of solar, we are also plugged in, and will also run the generator to exercise it.

Having all operating at the same time is no issue.

Thanks for the replies folks. I guess I'm good to go! BTW, it's no problem running the gen while traveling. That's the only way to operate the motorhome's A/C while traveling in hot weather.

We have a go power portable panel as well and a champion 3400 and 2 batteries. Most of our camping is off grid so we leave the solar panel hooked up most of the time and just start the generator for AC, microwave, or coffee use.
