Grey Tank Backed-Up!

Decided to wash the TT at the campground (full hook-ups) prior to heading back to my home base later this week..........

Turned my FlowPur water softener discharge valve 'off', turned 'on' the kitchen faucet to relieve system water pressure, disconnected the TT water supply hose at the softener discharge..., then connected my outside water hose to the softener for washing the TT.

TT all nice and clean, re-connected the TT water supply hose to the softener, then kicked-back outside with a bottle of Gatorade. Eventually opened the TT entry door and walked into a nasty smell....., kitchen faucet was running and the bathroom tub was filling with grey water

Well, you know the rest of story....., dump-and-air out the TT.

Going forward I will use my outside shower faucet (relieve water pressure) which is located near my softener, hose connections, etc..

Bob

We all know of that happening! Just be thankful it wasn't the black tank sprayer left on or something like that!

I didn't turn off a bathroom faucet completely one night and woke up to that. Never fun. At least you caught it before the tub overflowed.

We learned the same lesson with our 2nd gray tank filling the shower.
Have a safe trip home!

Hasn't happened in our RV yet but twice in my former house. Toilet float stuck, water runs all night, sceptic system fills, roll out of bed to put feet on the floor and rather than dry floor there is 2" of water. No fun cleaning up that mess!
