Grey Tank Piping to waste valve MISSING

Took the RV out for the second time in three weeks after buying it and when I went to hook up the sewer connects noticed my grey tank waste valve and all piping to the grey tank had disappeared.

Now I have to re plumb the system.

Has anyone ever done this and have any directions besides looking at another RV on lot and taking pics and recreating the same flow?

Thanks,
Brian

Type of RV?
Missing? Was it stolen?? tore off??
Just replace and add some drop so it drains well.

Wow, the plumbing looks really close to the ground in that pic! You may want to try to raise everything if it's actually that low and you have enough drop to do so.

Yeah, I was worried about it hitting the curb where I parked, but it clears it by 2-3 inches.

Its probably the angle I took the pic, though the hanging brat on right side is dropping down about 2 inches from where it should be screwed in.

Called an RV shop today and they told me I don't have to use BLACK ABS PLASTIC< that they just go to LOWES and buy white PVC.

Only spent 4 hours trying to locate BLACK ABS.... YAY

But make sure you get the correct glue for putting them together. Oatley makes a PVC to ABS and it's green.

That's a bummer, but it could be much worse. I have broke more than one sewer line. It really is not to hard to fix, done it in camp a few times with real basic tools. It is just black ABS pipe, and glue. I would use ABS, it tends not to break as easily as white PVC.

You can get a new valve online such as amazon or at a local RV service shop. The rest of the parts purchase should be at any DIY hardware store. If you are having issues finding ABS checkout Lowes and Home Depot. I have seen it in both every where around the country I have been.

The picture sure makes it look as if the valve is very low. You do want to make sure to have a few degrees of pitch to the sewer hookup.

I can't really tell from the one photo, but it looks like the pipes were never glued. ABS doesn't normally break that cleanly. If this is a new trailer you could have a warranty issue.

Yeah, It had to break off, cause the backside of the flange that holds the plumbing to the Y Waste valve on the grey tank side was missing completely...

The worm clamps on the tank its self were not loosened, so I don't think anyone stole the parts...

But, I got it fixed over the weekend with WHITE PVC as no one in jacksonville florida had ABS and I called 12 places.

Test run this weekend to se if she holds up!

Fingers crossed.

Thanks all,.

FYI, I had to do some black pipe plumbing on my RV to repair a leak in the shower. Best place to buy is a mobile home service supply center. They had everything for mobile homes and RV plumbing, including toilet valves!
