Have you ever experienced failure of one of your 6 volt deep cycle batteries?

No failures, but my two 6-volt batteries (Sam's Club Energizer GC-2 208 AH) are only 3 years old.

No failures on dual 6 volt batteries. No matter what battery system you use a individual cell can fail.

No failures with my (2) Trojan T145 (260Ah) batteries, going on 4 years in a few months.

Twin Trojan T-105s entering year 3 and going strong. They spend the winter on a battery tender and I never have and never will bring them below 12.0V. Controlled by a Progressive Dynamics Smart Charger in the trailer.

My Trojan T105s are going on 4 years, and still working well, though I have a feeling that total capacity has dropped a bit. And I've been cycling them daily for most of that time, so some loss can be expected.

In my traded in SOB the Trojans were 6 years old and spent every winter outside.
They were less than when they were brand new but we're still acceptable.

Have two fresh ones in the new pull.

Had 1 fail that was properly maintained. Pair of T-105's in a used SOB that failed after 8 years of use. Tongue jack was working when I hooked up to the truck and was not working when I unhitched 200 miles later. Was in a full service campground so was able to run the 12 volt systems until I could locate a replacement battery source.

2 Sam's Club batts put in our travel trailer 05/07. Lowest I think I ever pulled them was 11.7 volts. Spent winters outside, charged monthly by the WFCO converter for a couple of days. Getting new ones with the new 5th, but left these on for the guy who bought our old camper. Best I could tell, as of a boondocking trip last fall, they still had around 85% capacity of new.
