Question Help, What is this?

I've got a 2017 Jayco Jayflight 29rks. I've got this wire that I can't figure out what it's for. Its in the pass through storage unit on the drivers side. It's coming out of the front wall. A close up of the end.
Without taking the compartment to trace where it goes, I don't know what its for.

Might it be prep wiring for solar? I don’t really know what’s involved in that so it’s just a SWAG.

I'm going to +1 solar prep.

Can you get up on the roof and see if you have a pre-wired solar prep up there?

Again, just a WAG...

I was told it’s the optional connector for Jayco’s sway control system. I have the same exact connector in my bay too. A solar prep wire should be an Anderson type plug.

Best thing to do is contact Jayco with your vin number and ask for the 12 volt wire schematic.

That will tell you for sure, and where the other end goes.

Looks like they lost the drill bit and made that hole with a piece of rebar and a hammer.

This is the connector your seeing. On the front of the camper is a sticker that says “Sway Command”. The other end of that wire is supposedly behind that sticker for the install

The wire is too small for solar. There is no solar prep on the roof, just on the tounge of the trailer.

Can that be done over internet or do I need to do snail mail?

The trailers build sheet does show Sway Command prep. That must be what it is.

That’s how you can tell it’s factory.

To Jagiven who recommended contacting Jayco and requesting a 12V wiring drawing. While the drawing provided by Jayco is somewhat helpful, it is not specific to any RV or year. They are generic drawings. I requested the 120 VAC and 12 VDC drawing for my 2010 Designer and then again for my 2016 Pinnacle. Guess what, I got the same exact drawing.

Why would you go to HF and buy cheap bits when you can stop at a highway construction site and pick up some rebar scraps for free?
