Honda Generators. Running parallel

Anyone run into running 2 generators in a parallel connect and check circuit? A/C works fine but it says reverse polarization? Some say put a ground rod in the ground and connect to the ground on generator? Anyone else run into this??

Usually it's an open ground condition that needs a grounding plug to prevent an EMS from shutting down, not a reverse polarization condition.

Are you sure you have the red and black leads plugged into the generators properly so the same color (red/black) matches on both generators? ex: reds on left plug, blacks on right or vise versa.

Wouldn't the two generators have to be perfectly in phase for this to work? What is going to synchronize the phases between them?

Some models such as the Honda 658130 seem to do this, apparently all generators do not.

If the red and black leads are in the same holes in each generator, they will synch up.
If you are using an EMS, you will need a grounding plug like Bluejay40 said.
