How to connect Sirius XM to an iRV-29

Hello, is it possible to get one of those stand alone XM radio controllers and connect it up to a an iRV-29 (blue tooth, 2 usb ports, no cd or dvd) in my travel trailer? Just looking for better music station options instead of trying to find local radio stations that come in poorly. Or are there other options for XM / music connections?

If the radio has an six in port get a portable Sirius radio and plug it in.

Connectivity depends on what model Sirius or XM satellite radio you have or plan to get. The Easiest connection is either an aux audio input in the front of the radio or using the red and white audio connections in the back of a radio. Some newer radios do have Bluetooth connectivity, even a few older models like my old workhorse a Delphi Sky-Fi2. Don't forget about the antenna! If your RV is metal sided you will need to run an antenna outside the body. With fiberglass and rolled and bonded sides it might work with the antenna inside the unit. I ran an antenna out through the fridge vent and attached a metal plate to the top of to stick the magnetic antenna out there. On the roof make reception better for our RV. You might find a way that works for you too. Satellite radio is still the best for travel, no Internet required!

I have an antique XM portable receiver that just rebroadcasts the signal on several FM frequencies you can choose from. Just tune your radio to one of the channels that works best.
However , I'm about to pull the cord on XM & cable tv now that I'm finally learning how to use things like Apple Music/TV & Amazon TV & music streamed thru my smarter than me phone

I have 10+ hours of music on a USB flash drive that I plug into my radio. Works great for me.

On our iRV, we just use its Bluetooth connection and play from our iTunes library or streaming service like iHeart. I do notice the connection gets spotty if I take the phone outside the trailer. But we don’t listen to the lousy awning speakers much anyway.

I have a SiriusXM subscription on my phone. I use it via Bluetooth to the RV as well as my earbuds for the gym. No head unit to carry around.

x2 on the Sirius phone app. I use the line in port and hard wire. BT is spotty on my iRV. works well. I put a magnet mount for the phone on the side of the cabinet. works very well.

If you have a sirius account and get channels on your phone, you can use bluetooth on IRV-29 to connect. I do this when I have WI-FI and stations work well.
